Vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen c1940.
Beautiful vintage parker vacumatic (third generation) fountain pen. Grey pearl "transparent laminated" barrel. From my collection, for your perusal is a "short major" size.

Parker "vacumatic"(third generation) plunger-filling fountain pen. In the mid 1940's. In "very good" overall condition.

The pen has been fully-serviced, cleaned thoroughly and finally, lightly polished with renaissance micro crystalline wax. & it's in perfect working condition. The finish is known as "silver pearl" with a beautiful transparent "laminated" barrel. The cap is in very good condition overall.

The "cone" shaped black "jewel" clip lock top is in excellent condition. It holds the nickel plated "blue diamond" clip securely in place.

The "arrow" style clip has the vertical imprint. "Parker" it too is in very good condition. Only very light wear showing. The cap's single wide "reverse chevron" nickel plated band is very nice with little wear showing and it buffs up beautifully & it tightens up and posts very securely on to the barrel as it should. The authentic 14ct fine tipped, two tone "arrow" style nib is in "good" condition & marked. It has gentle flex and it can write with a fine to a medium line. There is plenty of iridium on display and it writes really well with a good ink flow.

The feed is in excellent condition, no damage. & the screw in section is also in excellent condition. The silver pearl "transparent "laminated barrel is very good indeed showing minor wear commensurate with careful use.

The barrel imprint is very clear. S parker vacumatic made in. The long round end, blind cap unscrews smoothly. Revealing the "plunger" vacumatic filling system which is all original and in excellent condition, working perfectly, as it should. Seven up and down plunges in the ink, will fill this size model.

In conclusion this is a really lovely, parker vacumatic (third generation), fountain pen which is in very nice condition. And in excellent working order & a highly collectable and still very usable vintage fountain pen, manufactured in parker's janesville factory in the mid 1940's in the beautiful silver pearl finish with a transparent laminated barrel. This vintage pen looks and feels wonderful to write with. Pen size is 12.9 cm capped and 14.7 cm posted. Parker made the vacumatic in many sizes, both length and girth - typically the most common were the debutante (smallest), standard, major, and over-sized (later changed to maxima), and a few others as well. This is a excellent vacumatic and would make a wonderful addition to any fountain pen collection & is an example of parker at it's finest. This beautiful vintage pen is a gift from the past from those who wrote with it and have influenced its condition.

Now ready to serve again. This item is made of celluloid, gold nib and vacumatic.
