It is in perfect working condition. The finish is in red celluloid.The cap has a matching clip-lock top jewel which is in perfect condition. Holding the clip firmly in place.
The "arrow" style clip is gold plated. It is in beautiful condition, no wear showing. The cap's single "reverse chevron" cap ring also shows no wear to the plating. It shines up very well. The cap shows a little wear commensurate with age and usage. It tightens up and posts very securely to the barrel. The huge 14ct medium tipped, "arrow style" nib is in "excellent" condition it is marked.The nib is quite firm. It writes with a medium fine to fine line. It has good iridium at its tip and it writes very well and very smoothly. The feed is in excellent condition. The section is also in excellent condition.
The barrel is in very good condition with a little colour variation. The barrel imprint shows wear but it can still be read clearly. The barrel screws on and off smoothly from the section. The filling system is in excellent condition and working perfectly, as it should.
This is a really lovely, very large. Fountain pen which is in beautiful condition (considering that it is over 60 years old). And in excellent working order. Overall, a very collectable and usable.
