Vintage Parker Duofold

Here we have a vintage parker fountain pen. Unlike my other items, vintage pens are listed individually.

What you see in the photos and videos is exactly what you will recieve. This pen is an aerometric filler.

To fill simply submerge the visable part of the nib into your ink and squeeze the u-bar inside the barrel according to the inscribed instructions. Wipe the nib and start writing. If you wish to by some ink as well, our standard diamine range is especially made with vintage pens in mind.

The 14k solid gold nib is truly exquisite. The nib is fairly ridgid with only a tiny amount of flex. Flexing this nib is not reccommended.

The cap is 12.3mm wide. Unposted: 123.4mm x 10.9mm.

Posted: 157mm x 12.3mm. Capped: 133.5mm x 12.3mm. The barrel inscription is worn but reads that the pen was made in england, which holds true for the nib as well, this line of pens was released in 1945, so this pen most probably dates from between 1948 and 1953. The pen does show some gentle signs of wear.

There is a subtle wear line from the cap being posted over the years, there are some very minor marks on the barrel, however with a pen of this vintage the wear is very light considering it is around 70 or more years old. The cap is in lovely condition, with a broad, chevroned cap band and the end jewel in tact. The engraving section on the cap band is blank should you wish to have your initials engraved there, and the clip rests nicely in place.
