Vintage parker'51'"vacumatic filler"fountain pen "1946"england. Here, for your perusal is a vintage parker'51'classic vacumatic filling, fountain pen. Manufactured by parker in the usain c1940's.
Stripped down to all individual components, cleaned, new diaphram fitted, re- built, & tested. The colour finish is in "classic black" celluloid. With a lovely lustraloy cap and an "arrow" design, chrome plated clip.
The clip lock top "jewel" is in lovely condition and it holds the clip firmly in place. The cap is in good condition but has some dings/ marks not too serious (see pictures) with wear commensurate with age and usage it pushes on and posts very smoothly and securely on to the barrel.
The 14k "medium" tipped nib is in excellent condition. It writes with a strong medium line. It has plenty of iridium at its tip and it writes very smoothly and well. The original 14 kt nib stamped 1946 usa. The long narrow feed is in excellent condition as is the horizontally ridged collector.
The matching black coloured shell is in very good condition. The barrel again is in "great" condition.
Overall, only very light wear commensurate with age. The imprint around it at the top can still be fully read. At the base of the barrel, the blind cap unscrews smoothly to reveal the vacumatic filling system. This is a lovely, earlyparker'51'usa in the beautiful "classic black" colour finish, in great condition and working very well.
