A vintage"the conway stewart" 388 fountain pen. Black body and cap with one wide and two narrow cap rings, c 1940s. Manufacturing on this model run from 1939 - 1955.The early models were "the conway stewart"'the' being dropped for the later models. This fountain pen has been fully restored. Gold plated fittings in excellent condition with no flaws, . It is a nice fountain pen with polished body and cap, the imprint on the barrel is clear, it reads. The 388 has been a very popular model, and has had a reasonably long run, it is a very nicely finished pen with its three cap rings.
The nib is a 14 ct gold 5n medium, and it has been inked and write tested. The pen is 12.54 cm long capped, .
