The junior statesman is a premium fountain pen that means business it's a smaller than the statesman if you prefer a pen which is easier to carry but still want to make an impression. This particular pen has been crafted from a rare piece of ringed gidgee burl. Gidgee has to be my favourite wood for its depth of colour and exceptional figure. The pen is fitted with a beautiful, medium point, size 5 bicolour (gold and polished steel) iridium tipped nib.The non postable cap has a triple start thread which tightens in one and a quarter turns and has a very smooth action. The fountain pen is supplied with a premium ink converter for bottle filling but also takes standard ink cartridges. Overall the junior statesman is a pen that stands out, has timeless style and has a very pleasing weight and balance.
Rhodium is one of the rarest and most valuable precious metals found in the world. Rhodium is incredibly hard wearing, as it is resistant to corrosion and will not oxidize. Rhodium has a silvery white appearance.
22k gold is very pure and used in high end jewelry. 22k gold contains more luster with a deep gold appearance. All the metal components are plated in a premium 22 karat gold as used in high quality jewellery. I craft these pens on a wood lathe from carefully selected wood sourced from the australian outback where the gidgee is a native. I coat the wood in a very tough polymer finish and polish it to a very high gloss which both protects and highlights the grain of the wood.
Because of the natural variation in the wood stock, even within the same tree, each pen is slightly different in colour and figure but they are all beautiful. To make the pen an extra special gift why not add on an engraved message in metallic gold. Just add engraving to your basket with your order and message me with the text you wish to add, a perfect addition for anniversaries, birthdays, graduations and many more celebrations. This pens is approximately 13 cm (5 inches) long and approximately 15mm (5/8 inch) diameter. This item is made of gidgee and gold, rhodium.
