Stunning Red Kite Bird Fountain Rollerball Pen

This pen was inspired by the incredible red kite bird. These beautiful raptors navigate the skies above ben wyvis in and around my highland home, i'm lucky enough to see them daily and they have become a familiar sight. Their deeply rufous brown-red colouring, black breast streaks and forked tail make them unmistakable. To produce this stunning pen, i worked with tropical hardwoods and a unique blend of resin colours labouring and experimenting until i achieved what i think is a stunning representation of this glorious bird.

These pens are unique, make stunning gifts and can be supplied as either a rollerball or fountain pen. The rollerball version comes with a quality schmidt rollerball (5888 refill). The fountain pen version is supplied with a high quality size 6 nib. The red kite inspired pen blank is hand turned and dresses a beautiful rhodium with black titanium mechanism.

It boasts an elegant circle design inset on the cap, centre band and barrel ends. Treat yourself, treat somebody else - heres an idea. Wood is traditionally given as a 5th wedding anniversary gift.
