All of my esterbrook restorations are 100% guaranteed. I restore only the best specimens, with tight clips and caps, undamaged bodies and jewels, good pressure bars. The sac i install is exactly the same as the esterbrook factory specification.
I test each pen with water. In every restoration, i install a new-old-stock nib.
It is as close as you can get to a new pen. And i will give you the old nib as a spare. My prices are determined by the quality and scarcity of the nib installed. I include a copy of the original esterbrook instructions with every pen. While esterbrooks in "the wild" look pretty good as found, they typically have a patina of wear and oxidation.
My ten-step polishing process restores the beauty of the original. It not only works like a new pen, it looks like a new pen.
You will need a bottle of good ink labeled for fountain pens. I still use the ink i used in grammar school: sheaffer's skrip. You will find good paper there, too. The better the paper you use, the more you will enjoy your pen.
