Before you is one of my handmade kitless fountain pens. This particular pen is rather striking in the right light it has a nearly continuous line of shimmering brilliance that runs down opposite sides. However, this chatoyancy is only visible under just the right circumstances. Expect that in most artificial lighting conditions this effect will be far less pronounced than in direct sunlight.
Fill it with you favorite inks and watch them slosh around inside the transparent ink body. The large ink capacity offers copious writing time between refills and the sealed cap eliminates risk of the nib ever drying out on you to bring out the color of the acrylic resin, the entire body and cap are buffed and polished by hand while the section is left a rough satin sanded finish for better grip while writing. This particular pen posts but somewhat loosely unless pushed firmly. The body diameter is half inch with a slightly larger diameter cap. The cap is removed in two turns and the section has a nitrile o ring at the base of the threads to ensure that the nib is perfectly sealed within, never to dry out during extended storage and never leak ink out of the cap.
This pen is made to take any size 6 bock nib, gold, titanium or stainless steel. The entire body of the pen is the ink chamber (no converter used), simply unscrew the back cap on the pen, turn the colorful knob on the back counter clockwise to push the piston all the way to the front, put the section and nib under the surface of the ink in your inkwell and twist the knob clockwise to refill. This is a piston style filling pen with a large ink capacity of about 1.5 ml. The pen is approximately 6 inches long with a flowing titanium pocket clip on the cap.
All resin body components are cast acrylic (pmma) and all metal parts are grade 2 titanium to ensure a long life of the pen without concerns of corrosion or rust internal filling mechanism is high strength ultem 1010 resin and delrin for extreme longevity. 3d printed disassembly tool listed separately. Please message me with any questions you may have. Nib corrosion for stainless steel nibs is still a concern for extremely long wet storage. Advisable to empty pen if storage time is expected to surpass 3 months. Gold and titanium nibs are far more corrosion resistant. It is not uncommon for bock nibs to come from the factory with too large a gap to write or incorrect geometry to start easily. I aim for all customers to receive an item that works from the box. This item is made of resin and acrylic, titanium, ultem.
