Metal Series Steel Matte Finish

The rust fountain pen was the inspiration for the metal series. We liked that pen so much, we created a series around it. As for the inspiration for steel, in addition to a passion for fountain pens, i also get a little nutty over kitchen knives.

This pen was inspired by the folded steel in one of my favorite knives. I also love the fact that in most light, this pen has wonderful variations of black and silver tones. But in certain light, a faint, light blue hue emerges. It reminds me a little bit of blue carbon (a little).

One thing worth clarifying is that the pens in the metal series are, in fact, resin pens that are inspired by different metals. They are not metal pens. Also, in the pictures, the steel pen looks like it might have a rough, textured surface. But all of that texture is deep in the resin. The surface of the pen is completely smooth.

Our custom fountain pens are made by hand, one at a time, from resins that we pour in-house. Each pen is light weight with sleek lines, a pleasure to write with, and a unique work of art. The pen you see pictured here is the actual pen you will receive. Because each pen is made by hand, there will be minor variations in the size.

But the approximate specifications for each pen are. + 146mm long with the cap on. + 170mm long with the cap posted for writing. + 15.6mm cap diameter (widest point). Mm body diameter (widest point).

+ 17 grams average weight. + standard international ink cartridge or converter.

(1 black cartridge and 1 converter included). Additional nib sizes, materials, and grinds are available as a special request. Specialty nibs might add additional time and cost to your order. Sincere thanks for checking out the shop.
