Mars Next out of this world fountain pen

The mars next is a celebration of the achievements of the spacex company in 2020 with the launch of 2 american astronauts on top of a falcon 9 to the international space station from the kennedy space centre lc 39a. The body materials, cap and finials were custom cast for this project in black, white and silver resins with a translucent red sparkling ink window. The body is fluted along its length to accentuate the smoke like colour pattern in the resin and to give a tactile dimension to an otherwise simple form.

The nib section is red, white and blue ebonite acknowledging the pride of america. The clip and accent rings are machined from titanium to symbolise the exotic materials needed to withstand the rigours of space travel.

The cap has a 13mm triple start machine cut thread. The nib is a polished steel #6 bock 1.1mm and the pen is fitted with a standard ink converter. The overall dimensions are approximately. Although the pen has been designed to use the 1.1mm nib you can select the nib style you prefer from the options. If you have a preference for a nib which is not listed then please message me and i may be able to provide as a special order.
