Majestic fountain pen 1

This is a majestic fountain pen made with maple burl and resin barrels. The trim is made of rhodium and 22kt gold. The nib is iridium with gold plating and made in germany. There is a swarovski crystal on the clip.

This pen includes an ink pump that allows the pen to work with ink cartridges or bottled ink. Other available fountain pens are pictured also. The wood blank is prepared for the lathe by cutting to length and drilled for brass tubes. The blank is then mounted on the lathe and turned to the desired shape. Calipers are used to match the diameters of the ends with the corresponding fitting.

After turning, it is sanded to 1500 grit sandpaper, finished with multiple coats of ca, sanded again to 1500 grit and finally polished.
