Ten steps to create this one-of-a-kind fountain pen. 1sun and air-dry pecan tree bark. 2trim and completely dry the bark in dehydrator for 10 hours. 3stabilize the bark using a vacuum pot for 8 hours to remove air and introduce resin into the piece. 4cook the bark in a toaster oven for 2 - 3 hours at 200 degrees fahrenheit. 5cast the bark in different colored pearlized resin in a pressure pot for 8 hours. 6prepare the pieces for the lathe by cutting, drilling and gluing. 7carefully turn on the lathe.8polish using a 9-step wet sanding process. 9liquid sealer/polish buffed on the bark/acrylic.
