GEMINI TITAN Fountain Pen-Handmade Steampunk design, Spirit of 76 ,Tracker-motorized launch pad and Rocket,lights,level,hourglass
A fountain pen ready to take off. Its design is influenced by the gemini rocket of the seventies. It was themed spirit of 76. This launch pad will travel back and forth, having a forward and reverse gear.
When you are ready to write, just put the tracked chassis in forward to move it into position. When finished just put it in reverse and let it move back to the storage area. When the pen is in the position to offer the instructment for writing another switch will tilt the rocket (oen) upwards in the vertical position.
A level shows you when the pen is upright. A magnet holds the rocket pen in position and is easily pulled from the rocket holder. The spirit of 76, was the exciting theme behind this rocket. An hour glass is attached to the tower and it is up to you as to its usage. It usually is a 3 second timer.
It takes more like 5 seconds for the tower to upright. Please see the video included with the listing. Measurements: 16.5 inches tall; 7 inches wide from wheel to wheel; 6 inches deep.
The fountain pen has a medium iridium point. It is fed with either a cartridge or a pump mechanism.
The gemini separates into three parts, much like the rocket itself. Each part is held to the other by way of magnets. Pull the tip portion off and it will expose the writing nib.
Pull the bottom portion off for balance while writing. Notice the detail simulating the hatch, the engine nozzles, guidance fins, length and shape. Launch pad: has a 12 v motor that peoples the lift for the rocket. A tactical switch is used to ignite the motor and lift the fountain pen for takeoff. A level ensures a straight trajectory upon liftoff.
An hourglass shows the time in 3 second events. Two lights 2.0-2.2 v are run by the batteries in the tube along the back of the tracker. And are for appearance but you can tell that everything is green for go and red for height. Two 9 volt batteries run the platform system.
A trap door at the back of the "tracker" allows the actress to change the batteries. A launch tracker will transport the pen from one side of the desk to the other. It is geared to a slow movement, but you need to keep an eye on it as it is rather quick.
It will move forward and in reverse. It is powered with two 1.5 volt batteries. The transmission has four gears inside to make sure it will move the seven ton rocket. The "ink level" gauges are custom made to order by heggart curios of england. A mechanical pump is included with your order.
The pump filler can be refilled to a higher capacity than the standard cartridge. When you want to change ink types, just wash the pump out and fill it. There are hundreds of types of inks depending on your writing purpose. An ink cartridge is included and it is easily installed by unscrewing the nib and placing the cartridge into the chamber until you hear it snap, or "pop" which indicates the membrane of the ink supply has been pierced. The pump is also included. This useful writing instrument will certainly add "steampunk" qualities to any desk and provoke conversation.
