Elegant Jr. Statesman Fountan Pen in Stars and Stripes Abalone

This patriotic fountain pen features exquisite hand dyed and laid stars and stripes paua abalone on a rhodium jr. Statesman style fountain pen with 22kt gold accents. Paua abalone shell is harvested and cleaned and the most beautiful part of the shell is used for its stunning iridescence. The paua is dyed beautiful colors, cut into thin strips, then ever so delicately each strip is meticulously hand applied onto the pen tube by master craftsman jim pratt.

It is then cast in clear polyester resin to enhance and protect its beauty. The cast piece is then turned to its final shape on my lathe, and polished to a brilliant, show worthy finish. Paua abalone pens are my personal favorites.

Their natural beauty is unsurpassed and when dyed with rich color they are, in my opinion, the most elegant pens available. Since each pen is made from real abalone shell, no two pens will every be the same making this a truly one-of-a-kind pen. This pen includes a standard black ink cartridge and an ink converter for using bottled inks.
