The ultimate nostalgia pen, a real authentic pokemon card is encased in resin and turned into a fountain or rollerball pen. This is a japanese articuno card from pokemon's sun and moon's team up set as the barrel with an ice storm cap--fitting for the pokemon that is the embodiment of ice.

I make the pokemon card into a pen starting from the plain pokemon card, stripping the paper layer from the card and encasing it in resin. After curing for 3 days in a pressure pot to ensure that there are no bubbles and that it is crystal clear, i then shape the pokemon card on a lathe, and pair it with a matching blank.

It is highly polished to a glass like finish from 80 to 12,000 grit and then sealed with several coats of thin ca, and then polished and buffed with jeweler's rouge. I then assemble the pen using a special press to create the finished product. For rollerball pens, a spring is put in the end of the body to. Each pen i create is a unique, handmade piece, with no two pieces alike.

The fountain pens come in a #5 fine iridium nib. The rollerball refills take an 888 schmidt or monteverde refill. The fountain and rollerball section are interchangeable.
