Amethyst Shell Eversharp Doric fountain Pen and Pencil Set restored

Here is a nice lady size set eversharp doric fountain pen. Color amethyst shell; multifaceted celluloid.

Pen was disassembled and cleaned. New gasket and seals were installed and pen fills as it should. Comes with excellent flexible 14k f nib.

Barrel transparency is very good. Gold filled trim shows minor wear. Imprints are excellent along of one of the cap sides.

Pen is about 4 3/4 long. Original box is available but it is not in great shape. Pen and pencil are not personalized.

This pen was made at the time when the business of commercial flights was taking off. Eversharp response was a shut off valve triggered by a lever at the base of the nib. When pushed down as one screws the cap on the lever would close the valve and prevent the ink from flowing/leaking.

How effective this was it is not clear. The lever is still there but has lost its springiness. I tested the pen by filling it with ink and writting and there are no functional issues. Overall this is a beautiful set.
