A stunning example of the exuberant time period after the second world war when anything was possible and design and manufacturing were dedicated to novelty and quality. The parker company was creating fresh and exciting products for a vibrant economy. Many of parkers products were quite remarkable, have become very collectable and this piece is a rare one.
The base is made from a single piece of anodized aluminum topped by a single piece of black onyx. The name magnetix comes from the very strong magnet that firmly holds the pen sheath in any desired position. The base has some very small areas of missing gold tone finish, the pen has scratches near the nib, doesn't work and will need repair. Over all the set is in good condition.
