1980 Golden Falcon fountain pen medium from Selfidges in London in original box with retail tag still attached to clip. Made in England QI

1980 golden falcon parker fountain pen, medium. Around the base of the cap (see photo's) it is engraved with the parker logo and then: parker made in england qi the qi is the code for the 1980 date. Tag remains attached to the clip and it has its original plastic box (which stands up) and cardboard sleeve.

Slotted in the back are the original instructions. There are two original ink cartridges slotted in the back of the box (see photograph). Pen cartouche is not engraved.

Inside, the metal cartridge holder is engraved: with the parker logo and made in u. No marks but i think it is a gold filled pen. It was being promoted by selfridges as a very special parker pen. I thought that the promotion said that selfridges had exclusivity at that time.

The instructions are stamped with the selfridges address and with the 24th december 1980 date (see photograph). I bought it as a gift. I think it may have been tried out (not sure) but definitely not used again since christmas 1980. I don't know if the cartridges are still useable.

I have not tested the pen. I think it is a good item for someone whom collects fountain pens which are complete with original box.
