1941 parker vacumatic oversize blue azure fountain pen. Very good condition, my opinion only. With this one having a hard time parting with as a few others, as you can see by the price's. This is in very good condition.
With the service that was performed prior i do not know what has been replaced and not original. Does not leak, have had this inked up from time to time with no leaks.
There is no date code, so guessing 41 with the speedline system. I have not taken apart the section and feed, there is a shunt for the feed where ink flows down it to the nib, why it is there i have no clue, decided to leave it as is. Loads up fine with ink. Cap, barrel and blind cap are in very good condition, no cracks, splits, monograms, very nice sheen. With a loupe you can see micro scratches from pocket time etc. Looks like a couple of tool marks on the section, you can see one in pic#4 threads are in very good condition. Trim very good also, some very/very minor brassing on the pocket clip (visible with a loupe). Single jeweled very good , no chipping.
Good imprint, no date code thou. Nib 14k, what can i say very good, lots of tip, very little wear to the nib, good tip. Cap diameter at the opening is a hair over 13mm.Also if pen sits for a few days, it does have a dry start. Parker vacumatic made in u. Jewlers band: 5mm (no engravings to it).
More pens listed "never hurts to ask". Don't be afraid, i list what i see so there are no surprises. Plenty of pics, if you need more let us know. If you need more pictures let me know. Absolutely no expert on pens just a thing.
Being old some parts of the pens might have been replaced by others, so please view pictures if you need more pictures please ask. All pens listed have been used unless noted. Most get cleaned up to a point unless specified. Feel free to ask about prices, bundles etc. The worst that i could say no. Another site to check out, great shop on etsy. This item is made of metal, plastic and gold.
