Parker made this vintage 1910s jack-knife safety fountain pen. The pen's shell is made of hard black rubber with a chased pattern, flat top and gold filled clip/ band. The imprints are mostly clean with some worn on left side under lid. Parker, lucky curve fountain pen along with some other wording. The lid has "jack-knife safety, pat june 4, 1912".
The gold filled clip is marked, "pat ser 5-16, parker". The black body of the pen is an uncommon thick stubby model measuring 4 3/4 inches long with 5/8 inch cap diameter. The nib is marked, "iridium tipped usa". There is a crack at the top of the pen that curves around to the threads.
This vintage piece has additional surface age wear with light fine scratches and rub marks. There are possible chew marks or gashes in pen cap and end.
The pen is fitted with the parker button filler and is untested. There may be other vintage age wear.Please see photos for condition and detailed measurements below. Full length: 4 3/4 inches.
