These fountain pens are entirely made in wood, except of course clip and feed. Even the grip is made of exotic wood: threads are rather difficult to make, but this guarantees a great lightness and an exceptional touch. The hardness of the woods allowed me to do without varnish, they were only carefully polished: the skin directly touches the wood. The ends are adorned with a mother-of-pearl dot, signature of the workshop. The cap does not post onto the body. Lignum vitae is one of the heaviest woods (density 81 lb/ft3) and the hardest in the world. Its unrivaled water resistance and self-lubrication make it the only piece of wood present on many modern boats, including nuclear submarines.
This particularity is also useful for a pen because of its suave feel: you feel that the wood is oily and slippy while it is perfectly dry. The clip is decorated with a small patch of the same wood. The orange pen is made of pao rosa (or mozambique tulipwood, bobgunnia fistuloides) with warm shimmering colors, decorated with african blackwood rings. The pen is fitted with a german nib, made by the famous bock company and smoothed by myself. It is a polished steel medium size nib, and upon request and without charge, i can fit a golden or two-tone nib, fine, broad or italic.18 k gold or semi-flex titanium nibs are also available on request. The pen is fitted with a converter (made in germany by schmidt) to be filled with the ink of your choice. The pen comes with a leather pouch that will perfectly protect it while being carried in a suitcase or a breast pocket.
